Resolution Overhaul 2012

With all the hype of New Year’s Resolutions in the air, it can be a little overwelming when it comes to setting goals for 2012. Where do I start? How do I prioritize? Do I focus on career? What about my health?...

I urge you to take a step back and reflect over these adapted questions from a recent goal coaching CD I heard before setting your goals for this year:

  • What are the 5 things you value most in life?
  • What are your 3 most important goals to you, right now (list in under 30 seconds)?
  • If you won the lottery tomorrow, what would you do?
  • If you were told your health would stay as is, but in 6 months you were going to die. What would you do?
  • What is the one thing you always wanted to try or do, but you were too afraid to try or do it?

Take some time to answer these questions. Then, look at your responses and see what they reveal about you TODAY. Are your answers similar? Are you doing things today, this week, this month to help you get closer to these answers?

I want to leave you with a challenge from me.

Allow yourself every week to do something you LOVE to do that involves MOVEMENT. Whether it is running, cycling, yoga, walking the dog, whatever it is that YOU truly ENJOY, make time for it and make it happen OFTEN.
