5,000 fitness professionals joined me as I immersed myself in the latest gear, grub, and gurus via the World's largest Health and Fitness Expo with over 300 different breakout sessions to choose from. LA proved to be a place where trends thrive and fitness fuels the masses.

I learned so much at my fitness conference this year and was thrilled to come back to my clients with new ideas and more innovative techniques for them to apply towards their training.

I brushed up my skills on Corporate Wellness so that I can work on extending my reach here in Atlanta for companies large and small. Did you know by 2020 1 out of every $5 will be spent on healthcare!?

In my seminar, "Save your Back, Get your Butt in Gear!" I learned an unhealthy individual will incur $1,429 more dollars in healthcare spending as compared to a healthy individual. Low back pain effects more than 80% of adults. That results in over 60% of work-related injuries and transfers into over 39 million plus days lost of work annually.

In my seminar, "Eat to Win" I was given incredible information on how to maximize nutrients from foods by eating the right types of foods together. It was extremely eye opening!

Now I have a great deal more of information when I take clients on grocery store tours. They are only $50 and can help your diet DRAMATICALLY! Contact me for more info!

I realized that I eat a lot of Omega 6's, an essential fatty acid (meaning, we can only obtain through diet because our bodies do not produce it alone) and I do not eat enough Omege 3's to benefit from the anti-inflammatory benefits from these foods. The Omega 3 foods I need to increase in my diet to speed recovery between workouts and to ease muscle soreness are salmon, walnuts, almonds, flax oil, and avocados. Easy to do because these are all delicious! The tough part is making sure you are not eating too much Omega 6's like fried food, canola, sunflower, and hydrogenated oils. These are found in A LOT of everyday processed foods so be careful! Dr. Chris Mohr at Mohr Results, Inc was the speaker so google him for more info!

I also learned various ways to manipulate acute variables when training clients via their own bodies. I love body-weight training exercises because you don't have to use a lot of equipment! There are so many ways to continue to see strength and fitness gains from this type of training, but it is important to be able to change up the workouts and the plane of motion so each client will continue to progress and challenge their body!

So make sure to take care of your bodies by safe training, proper nutrition, and keep challenging yourself each and every day!

What are you waiting for? Get up and GO!
