I had the pleasure this week to speak to AonHewitt's employees about my

Go with Greer Corporate Wellness Programs. I brought my music, exercise videos, a few free t-shirts, and strongly encouraged the attendees to stand up during the talk - I know the majority of them have to sit behind a computer all day so I wanted to make sure we got in a little activity during their lunch hour :)

I told them about me (Greer Hawkins) and how I could help a company that manages risk through computer programming decrease the risk of disease and poor health through on-site exercise programs and healthy lunch seminars.

As a public health professional, I create custom programs according to specific needs of each individual company I work with so I do not have a program that can be applied to all employees everywhere. My graduate school thesis was on strategies of implementing effective corporate wellness programs and I quickly learned you CAN NOT have a set plan to tell people what they SHOULD do. That method is very uneffective. I make it a priority to LISTEN TO THE COMPANY'S NEEDS and then create an effective plan to best meet their particular needs.
