Imagine being born without arms. No arms to wrap around someone, no hands to experience touch, or to hold another hand with. Or what about being born without legs? Having no ability to dance, walk, run, or even stand on two feet. Now put both of those scenarios together: no arms and no legs. What would you do? How would that effect your everyday life?

Currentely, in my bible study group, we are reading Life Without Limits by: Nick Vujicic and it is incredible "Inspiration for a Ridiculously Good Life!"

The first several chapters we saw his encouragement, determination, and unparalleled will-power as an unbelievable testament to believe God has a plan and a purpose for each and every one of us. We are supposed to read Chapters 5 and 6 for this week and I was so excited while reading that I had to get on my computer and blog about this chapter!

He speaks on positive thinking and how to overcome negative thoughts, then specifically outlines the 4 most powerful attitudes to adopt:
  • An attitude of gratitude
  • An attitude of action
  • An attitude of empathy
  • An attitude of forgiveness
  • A few of the cool thoughts I underlined from this chapter...

    Gratitude

"When we feel entitled to a good life, we feel robbed and outraged whwen something happens to make us uncomfortable...Don't chooose victimhood, bitterness, or despair."

    Action

"Creates positive momentum... Quote from 14yr old dying from cancer in his, Carson Leslie's book, Carry Me: "None of us no what life has in store...but it's easy to have courage when you know the courage comes from God."

    Empathy

When you are confronted with hard times, tragedies, or challenges, instead of looking inward, look to those around you...suffering is part of the human condition...heal yourself by helping others heal."

    Forgiveness

"Harboring anger and resentment causes physical and psychological stress that weakens your immune system and breaks down your vital organs...We reap what we sow."

His website is appropriately titled,Attitude Is Altitude

So what kind of attitude are you carrying with you today? I challenge you to adopt one (or all!) of these and start living a Ridiculously Good Life TODAY! What are you waiting for?! GO!
