I wrote this blog back in September of 2010; it reminds me of this great group of young moms I trained in Macon while their kids were at "Mother's Morning Out."

I have some openings for personal and small group training, contact me for any questions you may have: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

As much as I would love to stay motivated, driven, and work 110% all day everyday, I can't. There are days when things are easy and some days where the simple things are even hard to get done. Don't let these times of challenge put you down. Use them as a way to appreciate when things are going well, when you are putting in great effort, getting things done, and you feel accomplished!! (Picture is of myself Greer Hawkins, my mother Kathy Hawkins, Mrs. Tammy Cantrell, Mrs. Kahran Evans, and Mrs. Ashley Cantrell Hoye after the Macon Labor Day Race 2009)

These are the times we need to write down how good we feel so that on the days when we are moving a little slow and can't quite get going like we are used to we can look back on the last time we felt strong and determined knowing that these times come and go, but they will always come back around.

These hard times help us appreciate when things are going good! Use them as a way to press on through the obstacles knowing that the sense of accomplishment is right around the corner. Set small goals each week. Stop and reflect on reaching them. Be proud. Keep working hard. And you will find peace in the present day knowing today's work will only encourage you to continue on to the next day and the next list of things to tackle. You can do it! I have full faith! Tackle the small stuff and you will reap great benefit from all the little efforts along the way.

Get out there. Make small goals for the day, the week, the month. Hit those targets, reward yourself (not with ice cream!), and gain confidence to tackle the next small chunk of time. Focus on tackling the little things that build you up. Make short term goals. One step at a time. Strength builds when we push ourselves. Take the challenge and make this week a week to make things happen!
