Risk taking is just a part of life!

Let me tell you about Louise Cooper. The 53-year-old cancer-survivor ran the 135-mile race through Death Valley in July. She did it in 40 hours. Second female finisher. 5 months post chemo (type IV breast cancer). She says risk taking is just a part of life. As an adventure racer, she has rappelled down steep cliff faces, kayaked through dangerously swift river currents, crossed deserts atop a camel and traversed gaping glacial crevasses. She has surveyed the world from the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro. She's a risk taker, She said, "life without risk...is not much of a life at all."

I'm a huge advocate of seeking out motivation EVERY DAY! Don't let laziness, stress, fear, or setbacks get in your way of being the best you can be, TODAY. Seek motivation through others. Surround yourself with like-minded people who lift you up and encourage you. Write down your short term and long term goals. Figure out what you really want from life. It might be challenging, but shoot for something new and exciting. It will keep you going!!! What are you waiting for? Get out there. take a risk. LIVE FULLY!

Another awesome quote from Louise, "I first read about her in a book where she proclaimed,"I truly believe you have to pursue your passion, no matter what your age or how monumental the challenge is in front of you. If you don't have passion, if you don't have something to pursue, how do you get up everyday?" (Read more about Louise)
